Education through the arts

Stage Education, part of Stage Academy, brings the power of performing arts into schools to bring the curriculum to life. All workshops are led by fully trained, DBS checked performers with extensive experience in working with the relevant age group. We are passionate about engaging with our communities and as such offer complimentary workshops to schools local to our venues. All that we ask in return is that you help to spread the word about Stage Academy by ensuring that an informative flyer about our classes reaches the parents of children who attended our workshop.

We don’t believe offering a one size fits all workshop each term is worthwhile for schools so we have multiple topic options for each age group allowing you to choose a workshop that makes our visit truly worthwhile.

Our free workshops last 30 minutes per class (a maximum of 30 children at one time) and we work together with schools to come up with a timetable to allow all students to benefit. Please note that our workshops are suitable for reception age and above. We offer our workshops to both Primary and Secondary schools and in all cases, they are tailored towards the age group.

Did you know? We can also provide after school clubs based on our main Stage Academy and Stage Academy Jrs classes as well as PPA cover all at budget friendly prices. Click here to get in touch and find out more.

Stage Education is part of Stage Academy, a groundbreaking part time performing arts school for 4 to 18 year olds. We offer our complimentary workshops in areas local to our Stage Academy venues as a way of engaging with and supporting the local school community. All that we ask in return is that you help to spread the word about Stage Academy by ensuring that an informative flyer about our classes reaches the parents of children who attended our workshop.

Our workshop leaders are some of our very best Stage Academy teachers. They have years of experience working with young people, a strong background in professional performing arts and a passion for education. They are also subject to an enhanced DBS check, reference checks and safeguarding training.

Drama and the performing arts are high energy activities, as such, we do need a large open space to conduct our workshops. A school hall is ideal.

Yes. Although our workshops leaders are subject to the same thorough DBS checks as your teachers we do require that a member of school staff be in the room at all times, just in case any issues arise.

We are pleased to offer high quality, professional after school clubs and PPA cover at an affordable price to schools within the M25 subject to availability. Please contact us for further information:

Of course, you may have noticed that we offer some of our workshops across multiple key stages, be assured that the content varies widely depending on age group to ensure your students get the most out of our visit. We can even tailor some of our workshops to where you are at with the topic in school, for example, if you book a Shakespeare workshop we will be in touch to find out which play you are working on and what the students existing knowledge is of that play.
